I totally agree with you. Disembodied machines lack access to tacit knowledge and other features that we have inherently, such as causality, physical intuition, commonsense reasoning, theory of mind, etc. Without those features we can't talk about AGI. Yet, how AI will acquire them is a matter of debate!
