I agree with you. We've been trying to build human-like chatbots for some time now and the tech was simply not advanced enough to achieve good results. That's what happens when there's so much monetary interest in a field. Although I'd say that real feedback has helped researchers shift the focus in the right direction. We'll see acceptable results soon for sure!
