I agree that hype sells very well, but I don’t think it’s the fault of researchers. They are very clear most of the time with the limitations of the models they publish — what they can and can’t do. It’s mostly the news outlets that tend to exaggerate the claims to earn views. But of course, most people won’t ever go to the research paper to check.
