Actually, I wrote an article about why AI will need a body to be truly intelligent. I don't think AGI will happen in a virtual system. However, an embodied AI is built by hardware and software so the software, its mind, could be more powerful than what our tools can measure. That's the main argument. What do you think, Elliott?
