Very interesting reflection Markus!

"The Big Data phase may be necessary to catch up with several years of human experience in a short period of time." That's a very important problem in AI right now. AI can't compete with how we experience the world, and even less with our evolutionary development throughout millenia.

And not only 4.9TB of data isn't comparable to the amount we perceive over our lifetimes, but we also perceive way more types of info beyond text and images (which are both visual info). AIs will need to increase their multimodal capabilities manifold to compare to us.

You may be interested in the field of developmental robotics. They aim at creating AIs that develop as human children, combining the disciplines of AI, robotics, developmental psychology, and neuroscience. Check it out!

Cheers :)
